Sometimes it become very necessary to remove Internet Explorer browsing history especially if you want to make sure that your surfed websites could not be seen or re-browse by anyone if you are using a public computer or a computer which is in access of other people like the one plugged in your office, shop or on any other work place. We would explain you through a step by step process about how to remove Internet Explorer browsing history. We assume that you are using Internet Explorer 7:
- Open Internet Explorer
- You will see a word “Tools Menu” towards the right side of your browser, click on it
- A drop down menu will open in front of you. You need to click on the option “Delete Browsing History”
- Here you will see five options and appropriate button in front of them. These options will be “Temporary Internet Files”, “Cookies”, “History”, “Form Data” and “Passwords”.
- “Temporary Internet Files” is the place where all necessary browsing history like, images, web pages and media files are being stored by browser temporarily just to save your revisit time on the same web page.
- “Delete Files” is a button that you will see in front of “Temporary Internet Files”. Just click on it if you want to remove all the above-mentioned temporary internet files.
- “Delete Cookies” should be clicked if you want to delete all the text files that contain your settings and information about a specific website. Cookie is made by a server browser to the user browser and it helps to retrieve your login and password detail on that specific website on your next visit.

“Delete History” should be clicked if you want to delete the list of all those websites that have been visited by you and you want to remove them just because of an intention of not seeing by anyone.
- “Delete Forms” should be clicked only if you want to remove your form information from your browser history. This option actually stores any information of your form which has been filled up by you on any website you recently visited.
- Whenever you login with any email related website or with any other website that require login and password to enter into its main page, your password can be saved in this section of Internet Explore 7 only after receiving your consent as it always asks you if you want to save your login and password information or not. Clicking on “Delete Passwords” will delete all these stored information from your hard drive.
